DigiBC announces 2023-24 Board of Directors

VANCOUVER, BC, November 28, 2023 - DigiBC, the Creative Technology Association of British Columbia held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) virtually on November 27 and is pleased to announce the 2023-24 Board of Directors. Re-elected members to the board include Sarah Nathanson (COO & GC, Atomic Cartoons / Thunderbird), Jeanne-Marie Owens (Advisor, Phoenix Labs), Tim Teh (Founder & CEO, Kano), Sam Fisher (CEO, Hyper Hippo), and Lilli Wong (Senior Creative Director, Unity). Having served 12 years as director and former executive director for DigiBC, James Hursthouse (Head of Business Development, LlamaZOO Interactive), has stepped down.

"The DigiBC Board is grateful to James for the valuable contributions he made to the association’s development during his tenure. We are also delighted to have our re-elected and returning board members continue guiding DigiBC’s mission to support the success of the creative technology industry in our province,” says Board Chair Sarah Nathanson.

DigiBC’s board membership reflects the broad spectrum of the creative technology industry in BC, with representatives from the animation, VFX, video game and immersive sectors. Board members are based in the Okanagan, Lower Mainland and on Vancouver Island, and the gender balance of the board now sits at 54% male and 46% female.
