AInBC & NU Vancouver: AI Networking Night

Exclusive event for Northeastern University network and Vancouver's AI community. After the AAAI conference opening reception, join us for refreshments and networking at Northeastern's Vancouver campus. Event co-hosted by Northeastern's Khoury College of Computer Science and AInBC.

The event will include a short welcome, brief fireside chat 'Is there more to AI than ML' between Adam White and Dr. Bethany Edmunds and will include catering with drinks and snacks.

Adam White is a Fellow and Canada CIFAR AI Chair at Amii, and an Assistant Professor in the University of Alberta’s Department of Computing Science. His research focuses on the problem of artificial intelligence and how to replicate or simulate human-level intelligence in physical and simulated agents.

Dr. Bethany Edmunds is recognized leader in Computer Science and STEM education within North America. She is a teaching professor, assistant dean of computing programs for Vancouver and Seattle, and director of computing programs in Vancouver at the Khoury College of Computer Sciences at Northeastern University.

We will also offer tours of the campus to any new visitors and AI research will be on display from select Northeastern students/researchers.
