The IM4 Lab, in partnership with Emily Carr University of Art and Design, is honoured to announce a world's first Indigenous-led Virtual Production Micro-Credential Award for Canadian Indigenous industry professionals and upcoming media creators. Launching in Spring 2023, this blended online and in-person curriculum reflects Indigenous storytelling and provides hands-on training and mentorship. Indigenous industry global leaders and technical experts will provide this training which is fully funded by the IM4, funders, partners and sponsors.

“At its core, IM4 Lab is indigenizing technology. We are building an ecosystem and providing opportunities for Indigenous storytellers, media professionals, artists and creators to creatively and actively inform the landscape of the rapidly growing multi-billion dollar virtual production industry in Canada,” states visionary leader in Indigenous Media and Creative Director of the IM4, Loretta Todd.
