Call for screening submissions:
The Electronic Literature Organization (ELO) is holding its annual conference in Victoria BC (June 10-12, 2016). <http://elo2016.com> This is always a great conference to attend. In addition to speakers and presentations, ELO hosts a Media Art Festival of innovative and experimental works with a series of screenings, gallery exhibits, readings and performances, and sound installations.
For the screening section of the festival, we are seeking high-quality work that exemplifies the 'Next Horizons' of cinematic expression. We will be broad in interpreting how works meet this criteria, but selective in maintaining the excellence of the program.
The deadline for submission is December 6. Time is short for entry, but the process is not onerous, and there is no entry fee. Details for submitting are at <http://elo2016.com/elo-2016-conference-media-art-festival/submissions-form/>
Works are limited to 10 minutes in length. A jury of artists and section curators will review the submissions, and every submission will receive evaluation comments.
