DigiBC Presents Made in BC - An Entertainment Showcase in Victoria

Join us on May 4th to celebrate BC's innovative entertainment companies at a FREE event!

 

 

BE AMONG THE 1ST IN BC TO TRY OUT MICROSOFT'S HOLOLENS, PLAY THE NEW IRON MAIDEN VIDEO GAME & SLIP INTO THE VIRTUAL REALITY WORLD OF "CALL OF THE STARSEED"!

 

 

DigiBC is proud to present 12 of British Columbia's interactive entertainment (IE) companies working either directly within or as companions to our video game sector.

  • Meet the individuals building these great titles and experience them yourself!
  • Play amazing games in virtual reality, augmented reality, console gaming, computer gaming & mobile gaming all built by BC interactive entertainment companies!
  • Food & refreshments!
  • Surprises!
  • And it's FREE to attend!

 

Where: Victoria Convention Centre, Victoria BC

When: May 4, 1-5:30PM, 7-9:30PM

 

The event is broken up into 2 portions:

Afternoon (1-5:30PM): All companies will be letting you try their games & VR experiences; coding classroom will be open & classes taught; networking; light refreshments available. Open to all employees working for video games, VFX, animation or tech companies; the media; educators & students interested in careers in tech.

 

Evening (7-9:30PM): Restricted to VIPs, senior management of tech companies & stakeholders. All companies will be demo'ing. Drinks & appetizers to be served.

CODING CLASSROOM (afternoon session only)

DigiBC is also partnering with local coding academy UME to create a coding classroom in the afternoon portion of our event! 25 students will be there learning coding lessons and showing how easy and fun it can be for BC youth to learn to program and jumpstart a career in tech or making video games!

Finger Food Studios will be demoing an upcoming title on Microsoft's HoloLens platform!

 

 

Roadhouse Interactive will be showing their upcoming mobile RPG based on iconic heavy metal band Iron Maiden lore, Legacy of the Beast!

 

 

 

Cloudhead Games will transport you into the amazing VR world of The Gallery: Call of the Starseed!

 

 

Disruptive Publishers lets your creativity run wild with ease with their revolutionary software tool TAM: The Animator's Modeler!

 

 

 

Codename Entertainment will be on hand to talk about their smash hit Crusaders of the Lost Idols, and their upcoming summer release on iOS & Android devices!

 

 

Electronic Arts Vancouver will be bringing the latest entry in their bestselling sports gaming franchise, FIFA 16, along with members of the development team!

 

 

Llama Zoo, a start-up on Vancouver Island, will show you how they're incorporating gamification into education in their revolutionary EasyAnatomy software!

 

 

Kerberos Productions is bringing Sword of the Stars with them, showing off sci-fi action!
